General Information
Memberships for the 2007-2008 season are now available. Memberships
run from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, so please
register now for the new year.
Our club continues to be dependent on the volunteer service of its
members. In order to continue to provide the benefits we are all
accustomed to, we encourage each family to donate a minimum of 20 hours of
volunteer service to the club. Opportunities for performing volunteer
hours are numerous.

MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS
Home Club Members
Senior Members are those 18 years of age or over as of July 1st
of the membership year. Senior members have the right to participate all club
activities except those specifically limited by the Board of Directors to Junior Members,
they will have the right to vote in Club elections and the right
to serve on the Board of Directors, and if elected to hold office.
Junior Members are those under the age of 18 as of July 1st of the membership year.
Junior members have the right to participate in all club activities except those specifically
limited by the Board of Directors to Senior members. All Junior Members must have a parent
or guardian join and maintain Senior membership in the DFSC, except as specified under
Introductory and Associate Members.
Introductory Members are those members in their first year of membership
to DFSC and have never previously belonged to the U.S. Figure Skating. Introductory members
are specified as Junior Introductory or Senior Introductory Members. Junior Introductory Members
need not have a parent or guardian as a club member. Introductory memberships include membership
to the U.S. Figure Skating. Introductory Members have the right to participate in all club
activities but may not vote in club elections, serve on the Board of Directors, or hold office in the club.
You will hold this membership for one year, the following year you will join as a Junior Member with a Senior Member (parent).
Honorary/Life Members are individuals who have been elected by the Board of Directors
in recognition of exemplary service to the club. Honorary Memberships is granted for life.
These members are asked to register annually for record keeping purposes. They are exempt from annual dues,
but in all respects will be subject to the Bylaws and Rules of the Club and have the rights and
privileges of Senior Members of the club.
Professional Members are those members of the club who are considered to be ineligible persons
under the Eligibility Rules of U.S. Figure Skating. Professional Members may vote in Club Elections and may
serve on the Board of Directors, as permitted by USFSA rules. Their participation in club activities is greatly appreciated.
Professional member are exempt from U.S. Figure Skating fees and club dues if they are the Primary coach of two DFSC club members.
Associate Members are members whose primary affiliation is with another U.S. Figure Skating member club.
Associate members may participate in all club activities which are not specifically limited to a particular age class.
They may not vote in club elections or serve on the Board of Directors. Junior Associate members do not need a parent to join.
Friends of DFSC are members who are non-skating and do not have a juvenile member.
You will receive Skating Magazine. Supports the DFSC and it’s programs.
Senior and Junior members who have been a member for one full year are eligible for scholarships.
All memberships except Associate include DFSC dues, U.S. Figure Skating dues, and USFSA Skating Magazine. Denver Figure Skating Club is a member of Mile High Skating Association. Membership year is from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008.

SANCTION RULES FOR EXHIBITIONS OR SHOWS
Club members must have permission to participate in any ice skating
activity outside of our club. This should be addressed a minimum of four
(4) weeks in advance, to DFSC Sanctions Officer.

DENVER FIGURE SKATING CLUB SPONSORED PROGRAMS
All club members are invited to participate in club programs held at the
South Suburban Ice Arena.
- Club Ice - Held on Saturday mornings at South Suburban -- see web schedule.
- Keystone Show - Held in December. Nominal registration fee.
- Scholarship Program - DFSC offers scholarships to all skaters. A Skater Award Night will be held for the current membership.
- Synchronized Team Skating - The adult team are the current National Champions, and the masters team are the reigning Silver medalists. A Novice team will be added for the 2007/2008 season, for skaters under 16. Visit the Denver Synchronicity Website for more info.
- U.S. Figure Skating Testing - Test sessions are held monthly at South Suburban Ice Arena. Visit the Test Page for more info.
